The enterprise customers with Software Assurance benefits, will have full access to Windows 8 bits as early as August. During the RTM they will turn on the commerce platform so that developers can start earning money for their apps. Windows 8 will be available in 109 languages across 231 markets worldwide. Windows 8 PCs and Windows RT tablets will be out in the market in the first week of October. Windows 8 RTM will be the first version to feature the new desktop UI that Microsoft is planning to introduce in Windows 8. They have given the desktop a more metroish look and feel to match the new metro concept. You can read more about Windows 8 in our introduction guide. I personally think October will be the best time of the year to release Windows 8. They should come up with some cool devices, including the tablet PCs, when they launch Windows 8. This will help it in spreading its legs among the users. Microsoft Surface is also expected to be released around the same time along with other tablets from different OEMs. You can watch the keynote of Tami’s speech Here
